Toyota has announced their plans of releasing the next generation of Scion 2018 Scion FRS. Featuring a luxurious sedan platform, this car concept is going to enter the auto world as 2018 Scion FRS and will adopt a luxurious sporty appearance. The car shares the same design platform with Subaru BZR and Toyota GT 86. Actually, the upcoming 2018 Scion FRS has been designed for the young generation, thanks to its amazing super high speed. The car will be offered in both sedan and coupe version though sedan is the dominating variant. Though the manufacturer has not yet provided detailed information about its, features, this car is going to get some impressive interior and exterior redesigns. The car’s sporty appearance complements its overall luxurious exterior styling. The car comes in new dimensions and is going to be 187 inches longer, 70 inches wider and 55 taller than its predecessor. The elegant exterior profile has actually been inspired by Subaru’s Cross Athletic Design concept. 2018 Scion FRS the exterior body designing adopts carbon fiber and lightweight aluminum materials which are meant to enhance its aerodynamic performance and fuel economy. 2018 FRS is going to ride on large, 17-inch alloy wheels which provide better road stability. Under the hood, there are two powertrain options lined up for the upcoming Toyota 2018 Scion FRS. The base engine is an upgraded version of the previous model. This is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder motor which is rated to produce up to 300 horsepower at 310 lb-ft of torque. This engine will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and power will be sent to a standard rear wheel drive system. Toyota is also planning to offer a hybrid version of this engine featuring an electric motor. In terms of acceleration, the car is expected to achieve 60 mph from rest in just 5 minutes. Its high speed is rated at 115 mph. The second optional engine that is going to power the new 2018 Scion FRS is a 2.0- liter four-cylinder engine with an output capacity of 200 horsepower at 151 lb-ft of torque. It will also adopt 8-speed automatic transmission though power will be sent to the front-wheel-drive system.

2018 Scion FRS Price and Release Date

Toyota has not provided the official release date and price for the upcoming 2018 Scion FRS concept. However, you should expect the car to make its debut in the auto market towards the end of this year or probably at the beginning of 2018. Price will range at about $25,000 for the coupe version and between $34,000- $42,000 for Sedan variant.
