2018 Porsche Cayenne will adopt a luxurious SUV platform, sharing it with the upcoming Lamborghini Urus and Bentley SUV, who are going to be its main competitors. Though the manufacturer has not provided many details on the new Cayenne, the car is expected to feature critical exterior and interior redesigns. You should also expect better engine options and performance. There are two trim levels that have been lined up for this SUV. These are the base GTS and the Turbo S variant.
2018 Porsche Cayenne Exterior and Interior
2018 Porsche Cayenne is going to adopt a stylish outward appearance that will attract the attention of most car enthusiasts. The overall exterior design has been copied from Porsche’s Panamera Sport Turismo concept which boasts of aggressive body lines. It will maintain much of the previous xenon headlights and fog lights though they will adopt minor tweaking to enhance front-end appearance. Expect a C-shaped fender vent, new clamshell hood and a dual-exhaust system at the rear end. To improve on its road stability, the car will ride on 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside the 2018 Porsche Cayenne, it will adopt a comfortable and luxurious cabin with updated infotainment system. The spacious interior design is capable of accommodating up to five adult passengers with sufficient headroom and legroom. The base model will come equipped with a premium audio system with AM/FM radio, USB port interface, Bluetooth phone, and audio connectivity, 7-inch touch screen display, mirror-mounted turn signals, adjustable steering wheel, front and rear parking sensors, navigation control system among others. Those who will go for the Premium and Premium plus packages will access carbon-fiber interior trim, high-quality leather upholstered seats, ventilated front seats, keyless ignition, blind spot monitor, rear heated seats and others. 2018 Porsche Cayenne SE-Hybrid version will add adaptive suspension dumpers, 3.6kW on-board charger, and Porsche’s Car Connect.

2018 Porsche Cayenne has not yet declared the exact powertrains that will feature under the hood for the 2018 Porsche Cayenne. However, there are reliable rumor information indicating that the car will get multiple engine options including diesel, petrol, and hybrid variants. The base engine likely to power the 2018 Cayenne GTS is a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that is rated to generate up to about 300 horsepower at 295 pounds of torque. In terms of acceleration, this powertrain should be capable of sprinting to 60 miles per hour from rest in just 7.3 seconds. Its fuel economy figures are estimated at 21 miles per gallon for city drives, 19 mpg for highway and a combined EPA of around 20 mpg.
The Turbo S trim level will get a more powerful 4.8-liter V-8 engine that is capable of delivering around 510 horsepower at 553 pounds of torque. It is rated to accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in about 4.2 seconds. The 2018 Porsche Cayenne S E-hybrid is going to feature a 3.0-liter V-6 engine which will be mated to an electric motor to produce up to 415 horsepower at 435 pounds of torque. Its EPA figures are 21 mpg city drive, 24 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined. There is still no information on transmission.

The new 2018 Porsche Cayenne will enter the auto world towards the end of this year or probably in the first quarter of 2018. Once released, the base model is expected to go for about $50,000.
