2015 GMC Yukon Full Review

2015 GMC Yukon will feature a lot of changes. Official debut of the 2015 GMC Yukon was in mid-September in California at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, and new Yukon will be available in dealer showrooms sometime during the first quarter of 2014. Base price for 2015 model will be around $42,000. 2015 GMC Yukon will be built at GM’s Arlington, Texas assembly plant. GMC engineers worked hard in order to deliver safest SUV possible, so 2015 GMC Yukon list of standard safety features includes trailer sway control, reversing camera with rear cross-path detection, front and rear park-assist sensors, lane-departure warning, and a Safety Alert Seat, while optional safety features include Front and Rear Automatic Braking system, Lane Change Assist system, and an adaptive cruise control system.

Fully redesigned Yukon offers few engine choices, equipped with variable valve timing, direct fuel injection, and Active Fuel Management technology. 2015 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL come with new 5.3-liter V-8 engine that generates 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque, while 2015 GMC Yukon Denali comes with a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that produces 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines come mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with manual shift capability, tow/haul driving mode, and powertrain grade braking. Rear-wheel-drive is standard while all-wheel-drive will be available as optional.

Exterior changes include improved aerodynamics, weight lost due to extensive usage of lightweight materials and unique grille design. Some changes made to 2015 GMC Yukon, such as windshield glass, helped to reduce noise inside the cabin. Also all 2015 GMC Yukon models will come with LED headlights and taillights. Beside long list of standard features, new 2015 GMC Yukon will feature a lot of interior changes also, including new and more comfortable front seats, soft-touch materials, redesigned seats and more cargo space. High-tech equipment found in latest Yukon includes IntelliLink technology, Bluetooth music streaming, premium sound system, and a variety of USB and SD card slots, along with multiple power outlets, while for upper trims list of standard features include some more great additions.
