2015 Ford Fiesta will probably have its debut sometime during the second half of 2014 and we expect it to hit the dealer showrooms shortly after that, probably early on 2015. Having in mind that Fiesta didn’t had major redesign for two model years, we expect large number of changes for 2015 model year. New engine is also a possibility for the latest 2015 Ford Fiesta. Fiesta will continue to be offered in smallest class of cars, and it continues to available in two body styles including sedan and hatchback variant. The 2015 Ford Fiesta sedan is 14 inches longer than the hatchback, although they share the same 98-inch wheelbase.
Under the hood of the latest 2015 Ford Fiesta will be the same base engine: dual-overhead-cam 1.6-liter four-cylinder that features variable camshaft timing and produces 120 horsepower and 112 pound-feet of torque. Another engine that will give power to this vehicle is a EcoBoost, turbocharged, direct-injection 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 197 horsepower and 202 pound-feet of torque. Another possibility is a 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine with 123 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque. This engine is the smallest in the class and it was added to Fiesta’s engine line-up late in the 2014 model year, and it is tuned for fuel economy rather than performance, having in mind that Ford predicted its EPA fuel-economy ratings will be more than 40 mpg on the highway. Transmission choices remain the same, and customers will be able to choose between five-speed and six-speed manual gearboxes.
The 2015 Ford will be offered in four trim levels including the base S, mid-line SE, top-line Titanium, and the performance ST models. All of these trims will come with a different set of wheels. The base S variant will come with 15-inch steel wheels, SE models with 15-inch alloy wheels, Titanium with 16-inch wheels and the ST with 17-inch wheels. Cargo space of this latest Fiesta will be enlarged and it will offer 12.8 cubic-feet of cargo room. Known for its broad assortment of equipment, 2015 Ford Fiesta will justify customer expectations. Price remains unknown, and we believe that Ford won’t change it much, compared to its predecessor.
