2015 Ford Escape Redesign, review and release date

2015 Ford Escape won’t be changed radically outside, in fact it will remain practically the same like its predecessor. The fact that new Escape will stay almost unchanged shouldn’t upset anyone, considering that its forerunner received many good reviews, so with new model year we can expect just the same. 2015 Ford Escape will also cherish its heritage, and it will continue to offer great comfort as well as enough space for everyone. Base S, middle SE, and top Titanium trim levels will also be available with latest Escape, like it was with previous ones. Exact release date is unknown, but experts say that we can expect 2015 Ford Escape’s debut late this year, or, at the latest, early on next year, and it will go on sale shortly after that, probably by mid 2015. Considering the amount of changes, we don’t expect any major price increment, either. Price for 2015 Ford Escape with FWD will be between $23,800 and $30,000, and for 2015 Ford Escape with AWD it will stay in $26,000-$32,000 price range.

Performance and powertrain

2015 Ford Escape will keep its powertrains, and it will continue to be offered with three engine choices. Standard engine is the same, a 2.5-liter four cylinders capable to deliver up to 168 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque. Another engine found under the hood of 2015 Ford Escape, and probably the most economical, is a 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine that produces 178 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Third engine option in 2015 Ford Escape’s engine line-up is a 2.0-liter EcoBoost good for 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. Transmission choice is the same for all engines, and it is a six-speed automatic. All trim levels will also be available with FWD or AWD, including the base S. Ford vehicles, including Escape, are already known for their great fuel economy rates, so we expect big numbers, although there is no official info about gas mileage.
