2015 Dodge Challenger will debut at the 2014 New York Auto Show, and it is expected to go on sale sometime during the 2014, most probably on fall. For Dodge Challenger 2015 model year brought a lot of changes, not just in its looks, but also in its performance. Change of platform brought weight loss for the latest Challenger, but also some changes dimensions wise.
Instead of the common LC platform, new 2015 Dodge Challenger will be built on the advanced LA platform, and these changes brought a series of other changes too. The length of the latest Challenger will be eight inches shorter and the wheelbase three inches. New Challenger will come packed up with four different engines, including supercharged 6.2 Hemi, capable to produce somewhere between 650 -700 horsepower and up to 640 lb-ft of torque. Another three engines in Challenger’s line up include new V6 engine producing 320 horsepower, a 5.-liter with an output of 420 horsepower and a 6.4 liter SRT V8 capable to produce 510 horsepower. Transmission is also new for 2015 Dodge Challenger, all engines are now mated to a ZF eight-speed automatic.
Exterior changes for 2015 Dodge Challenger, beside its dimensions, include upgraded grill which is now divided. Besides new grill front end of the 2015 Dodge Challenger will get updated fenders also. Changes are made to the headlights and taillights too, and new Challenger now offers DRL headlights and LED taillights. Dodge designer make sure to make this vehicle as comfortable as possible, so new designed seats will be incorporated into interior. Comfort is not everything Dodge upgraded for 2015 model year, its Challenger now has an 8.4-inch Uconnect touch screen, but also a larger number of standard features including a backup camera. As far as the price tag it will be somewhere between $55,000 and $65,000.
